I’ve got a few Win 10 Pro computers that I’m setting up for use. Normal process is to setup initially with a local account, then add to domain. After installing anniversary update the options “join a Domain” or “join Azure AD” have gone and are replaced by “Connect to work or school” which does something different. After update , joining to AD option is showing inside the “connect to work or school” option. Many ways to get to the same or almost same places. I had to reenter my pro keys on a few systems because they forgot and reverted back to Home license.
Sounds like you don’t have a minimum of Pro. You’re looking in the right place in the control panel. I’ve tested the anniversary update and the options are there before and gone afterwards. Had a bad time with this, tried work account but wouldn’t add other users in Azure without me making them global Admins! Ended up wiping and starting again. Perhaps there is another more appropriate build of Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise other than ? There are no ” ” symbols on the “Set up a work or school account”. I find no evidence of any Azure Active Directory actions or configurable settings in Windows 10 Enterprise. Additional my product is activated. After Windows 10, update , they have taken away the alternative actions to join to a local domain. I also noticed that in build , that if you right click on the start, they have taken Control Panel option away. I mention this because they continue to say in the future build they will move everything out of control panel and into settings.
But with this version, , they have taken away the option to join a domain out of settings. Microsoft needs to listen to business customers and stop forcing all of these changes on Pro and Enterprise versions. In version , I right clicked on Windows button and selected System from the menu options but actually this option did not include buttons to make changes.
You will have to go though control panel to get to the real system window to be able to join to a domain and make other changes to the PC other than changing PC name.
